The Biolgy Department at Calvin College has been granted two
positions, one a tenure track and the other a term position. Here
is the posting language of the two positions for your information.
The Biology Department seeks outstanding candidates to fill two
teaching positions for the 97-98 academic year. One position is a
regular, tenure track position (initial term of appointment is for 3
years) and the second is a one-year (possibly two-year) term position.
For the tenure-track position the department is seeking qualified
candidates with broad training in plant ecology, field botany, and
environmental science with a strong interest in wetlands ecology.
Candidates for the term position should have experience in one of the
following areas; cell/molecular biology, genetics, physiology and/or
human biology.
The successful candidate must affirm the goals and philosophy of
education of the college which reflect Calvin College as a Christian
Liberal Arts College in the Reformed tradition. Interested persons
