My name is Jason Alley, and I am a Biology Student at Biola
University. I have not graduated yet, but I'm almost done.
Understanding this, and knowing that I am not in the same intellectual
bracket, I have a few thoughts. Tell me what you think.

Dear Jason:
Thank you for the synopsis of the creation/evolution controversy in your
post of 26 Nov. You are a thoughtful person and you have evidently tried to get
to the root of the problem.
Of course, nothing you have said is original. You have learned your
lessons well, and we old guys on this list have heard it all before. But there
is a more subtle level of the debate that goes beyond what you have said, and
this is where the real dilemma lies.
We are preparing documents for the ASA'w web site that will attempt to deal
with the fundamental matters of epistemology that are troubling us. Be patient.
I suggest that you subscribe to this list, because we are going to be covering
the issues you described. Sometimes the truth emerges best in dialogue.
