There is much I do not know about the Universe. I know God created
it ex nihilo (?). I don't know how God's voice could travel in a
vacuum, yet it had to for Him to speak the Universe into existence.
I don't know how the universe will roll up like a coat in the last
day (Hebrews 1:12) but I know it will. I don't know how He created
light before the light bearers (the sun and stars). For that
matter, I don't know how God could exist forever, without beginning
or end! In addition, I can't prove it, scientifically, historically
or otherwise.
But I do know that God doesn't lie nor does He deceive. I do believe
the Biblical account, understood in the context in which it was
written, is more true than the scientific knowledge we currently
possess. I do believe in listening to other people's ideas (but I
still put more faith in the Bible than other peoples' theories); hey,
I think the Loch Ness monster may exist and be a supposedly extinct
dinosaur, based (somewhat) on the eye-witnesses and (moreso) based on
the sonar returns.
I would love to be able to read the books you suggest.
Unfortunately, my life in this fleshly body is too short and I have
so many books to read (I truly understand Solomon's position in
Ecclesiates 12:12 "But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of
many books is endless, and excessive devotion {to books} is wearying
to the body." NAS). However, if you could suggest a few good books,
I would appreciate it and will keep the list in my files for future
