rapid flooding

My allusion to the "madhouse" model and rapid sea level fluctuation was
inadvertently obscure. I was to some extent using unppublished information
which has now appeared in Conrad Neuman's article in the September
_Geology_. It does not require flooding to be rapid enough to be hazardous
to mobile organisms, but finds changes of a few meters occuring within
limits of resolution.
