If one views apologetics as a mode of pre-evangelism (rather than
evangelism), then in order to evaluate the "success rate" of apologetics,
a more appropriate question to ask of believers is this:
"How many of you were more willing to consider the claims of Christ after
you learned that some of your intellectual objections to the Christian
faith were flawed or weak or without merit?"

That's right. In fact, what I see emergent here are three subjects:
pre-evangelistic apologetics, evangelistic apologetics, and post-conversion
apologetics. What are the best approaches for each of these? I suspect they
are all different. But I've never seen anyone articulate such distinctions in
the literature. Any takers?
