I have read Hyperspace and enjoyed it, although I enjoyed the book Black
Holes and Time Warps by Kip Thorne more. The Thorne book is more historical
with some interesting anecdotes.

Hyperspace is much easier to read than the Emperor's New Mind which I
started but have not yet found the time to finish. If you are interested in
exploring the possibility of higher dimensions and their status in moder
physics, this is a good, readable, introduction.
