>Now, does anyone have a TV set that plays DNA?
No, but there might be a radio.
A few years ago someone devised an algorithm to transcribe DNA sequences
into music. I even heard some of it played on the radio. The sequences
they arranged were of an immune gene and the AIDS genome; the immune gene
sounded like a rather pleasant, "light" theme, while the AIDS sequence was
extremely dark and menacing.
I suspect that there was quite a bit of flexibility in the algorithm to
allow the arranger to adjust the end result. I may have even read an
article or two about it, but it was not clear exactly what they did.
Has anyone else heard of this?
