British Quaker/astronomer Arthur Eddington's views are the subject of a
paper Alan H. Batten, "A Most Rare Vision: Eddington's Thinking on the
relation between Science and Religion," Quarterly Journal of the Royal
Astronomical Society, 35(1994)249-270. I have not read it. Perhaps
one of your can locate a copy and give us a summary.
