    This was posted to another Crea/Evol group I'm on and just love it :-) I'm

    In another group, a Jewish scholar had a comment on Creationism which was
    incidental to his main point. I copied just the part mentioning Creationism
    and it is reproduced below:

    =====================================================
    As a Jew, I am offended when a person who does not even know the Torah
    thinks that they can claim possession of "my Bible". The Five Books of
    Moses are most certainly not "your Bible," but the flat translations that
    you have could well be "your Bible." As a Jew who is attempting to work
    with non-believers, scientists, and hard-nosed skeptics, I find it both
    offensive and debilitating to have to explain that the Torah does not
    suggest such obvious misteachings as literalism and its stepchild, creationism.
